 SEEK, SEE, SNAP!

What is on your mind when you wake up in the morning?

Is your mind imagining the purchases you made the day before - the dresses, the delicacies, the furniture, the new hair or skin treatment you are planning to try out, the new vehicle or the new house you just invested in?

Is your mind full of the things you have to get through during the day - that difficult project at work or the never ending house work, your studies and exams?

It is important for us to set our mind in the right direction every morning.

Just like taking a photograph, seek the LORD and the plan He has for you even for that day.

When you get connected and see GOD's plan for your day, 'SNAP' set your mind on it.

Make it a habit to refer to that 'snapped photo' through the day, between each task, so that you keep on track.

At the end of the day, you will get to bed with great thanksgivings to the LORD for enabling you to fulfill His specific plan for your life for that day. Your sleep will be sweet!

 

 If then you were raised with Christ, 

seek those things which are above, 

where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 

Set your mind on things above, 

not on things on the earth. 

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 

When Christ who is our life appears, 

then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4 

Glory in His holy name; 

Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! 

Seek the Lord and His strength; 

Seek His face evermore!

Psalm 105:3-4

Seek the Lord while He may be found, 

Call upon Him while He is near. 

 Let the wicked forsake his way,

Let him return to the Lord, 

And He will have mercy on him; 

And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 

  "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, 

Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. 

  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, 

So are My ways higher than your ways, 

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:6-9

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, 

and all these things shall be added to you.

except the Spirit of God. 

  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, 

but the Spirit who is from God, 

that we might know the things 

that have been freely given to us by God.

BEHOLD

 BEHOLD

In the Scriptures, when the word 'BEHOLD' is used, it means something more than 'see'.

It is not simply what we see with our physical, but what we understand with our spiritual mind here and now. It indicates an insight and perception beyond the physical sight. In eternity, all our 'seeing' will become 'BEHOLDING'!!

 Truly the light is sweet, 

And it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun;

Ecclesiastes 11:7

It is not pleasant for the physical eyes to see the sun in all its brightness. 

But the light of the sun that exposes all things and enables us to see all things, is pleasant!

When the sun rises, we see not only the sun, but all things in the light of the sun.

When the Son of GOD arises in our heart, we not only behold Him, but also behold all things in His light! 

 

The Beloved Behold, you are fair, my love! 

Behold, you are fair! You have dove's eyes.

Song of Songs 1:15

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: 

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, 

and shall call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:14

O Zion, You who bring good tidings,

LORD, open our eyes that we may see!

beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,

While visiting our son in Ballarat, a country town in Victoria, my husband and I booked into a hotel. Our son's unit was in the same resort, very close to the hotel. When I stepped on the balcony of the hotel room, I realised it was facing our son's unit and it excited me! The front of his house and his car parked there were in full view from the balcony!!

I observed him coming out of his house and as he was getting into his car I called him on his mobile phone to say that I was watching him! He was first surprised and then made the connection. As I stood on the balcony waving, he looked up and waved back. Although it was good to be able to see him, it brought happiness to both of us when he saw me and made the connection!

 Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, 

You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said,

 "Have I also here seen Him who sees me?" 

Therefore the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; 

observe, it is between Kadesh and Bered. 

Genesis 16:13-14 

GOD is constantly watching us. His eyes are on His children always.

Have you made the connection by looking up to see 'The One Who sees you'?

GOD is very pleased and your heart thrills when you make that connection.

Your Heavenly Father has been watching you for a very long time.

He has been patiently waiting for you to look up to Him.

Why don't you do it now?

Humble yourself to call on Him and acknowledge Him. 

When the connection is made, it will bring great joy to the Father's heart and to your heart!!

Developing a Spiritual Mind

corona means 'crown'.

The corona virus has a resemblance to a crown when seen under the electron microscope.

Spiritually, crown depicts the head and the mind.

It would therefore be appropriate for us to study about the mind, from the word of GOD.

What is GOD speaking to us through this?

What is the Almighty GOD alerting us to, spiritually, that is towards eternity?

I need to understand that my carnal mind is in conflict with my spiritual mind. I need to constantly steer my mind to overcome the carnality in me to live victoriously.

Romans 8:5-6

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 7:22-25

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Imagine a computer having good programs installed in its hard drive. Such is a person whose heart is right with GOD and is spiritually sound. This computer cannot effectively function unless it is connected to the internet. Similarly, it is the mind of that Godly person that facilitates or hinders the effective functioning of his spiritual life.

2 Corinthians 10:5

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Thus you need to develop your spiritual mind.

Psalm 8:4

What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

Psalm 115:12

The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.

Matthew 16:23

But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

SEEK

GOD is mindful of you. Therefore be mindful of GOD and the things of GOD.

GOD’S mind is full of you. Let your mind be full of GOD!

Seek to have lowliness of mind by submitting to GOD and associating with the humble.

Cleanse your mind from all defilement and evil thinking.

Put away carnality of mind by seeking those things that are above.

Do not allow your mind to be preoccupied with your earthly needs, rather be preoccupied with GOD’S Kingdom business at all times.

Colossians 3:1-4

"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Seek GOD until you see Him through your eyes of faith.

SET

Gird up the loins of your mind and be disciplined in your thinking.

Do not be double minded but be strong in your faith.

Do not give into fear which comes through deception. Establish your mind on the truth so that you have a sound mind, knowing GOD’S love and power.

Turn your mind away from anxious thoughts and let it be stayed on CHRIST so that you may have peace.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

Matthew 9:4

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?

I hate the double-minded, But I love Your law.

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Revelation 4:10-11

the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."
