ENTER IN - 1

ENTER IN - 1

Outside the gate:

You cannot SEE what is inside.

At the gate:

You can SEE to a certain extent the things and happenings inside
the gates. You may think you are inside. You are not really sure
because you know about the LORD and about His Kingdom. You
can see the experiences in others.

Enter in:

A very important key in your computer keyboard is 'Enter'.
It is one of the few longer keys other than the 'Space Bar'.
Many things you type on the keyboard or in many digital
machines are accepted when you press 'Enter'.
You also move to the next line or next step when you key in
'Enter'!

You know that entering in makes all the difference in your life.
You are experiencing the blessings of GOD’S Presence and
His Kingdom. You Know in your heart that you are inside!

 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness,
 they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness,
the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of
corruption;
for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into
bondage.
For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world
through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
they are again entangled in them and overcome,
the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
For it would have been better for them not to have known the way
of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy
commandment delivered to them.
But it has happened to them according to the true proverb:
"A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to
her wallowing in the mire."
2 Peter 2:18-22

Make sure you continue inside the gate and progress towards
the LORD.
Don’t turn back!!

In His Presence:

You are living and progressing in your spiritual life.
You are increasing in the knowledge of GOD.
You are enjoying a vibrant relationship with the LORD!

 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried,
whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple
which is called Beautiful,
to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
Acts 3:2

So he, leaping up,
stood and walked and entered the temple with them-
-walking, leaping, and praising God.
Acts 3:8

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100:1-5

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest,
 let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased
from his works as God did from His.
Hebrews 4:1,9-10

And so it happened to him,
 for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.
2 Kings 7:20

Are you Outside the Gates of salvation?
Are you At the Gate?

Have you Entered His Gates?

Interesting Couples!

INTERESTING COUPLES!

Self and Pride

 Then Jesus said to His disciples,
"If anyone desires to come after Me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Matthew 16:24-25

Self makes me wide. Pride takes me high!

"Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him
But the just shall live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4

 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
"God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
James 4:6

Disturbance and Distraction

 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.
Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16

 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God
by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor,
and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:30-32

While speaking to a friend on the phone, there are times I can't hear her well because of various disturbances to the line. Our connection with GOD is through the Holy Spirit Who is in us. There are hindrances to this connection when the Holy Spirit is grieved because of our disturbed relationships with others.

Sometimes even when the line is clear and my friend on the other side is speaking, I do not hear what she is saying because I am distracted with things around me. What I see or hear or the things I am doing or am preoccupied with, make it hard for me to hear what the LORD is saying to me. It could even be my service for the LORD that is a distraction. Traction means pull. Distraction is pulling out of alignment!

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me."
Luke 10:39-40

Unbelief and Disobedience

 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief
Hebrews 3:19

Since therefore it remains that some must enter it,
and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience
Hebrews 4:6

Narrow and Difficult

 "Enter by the narrow gate;
for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction,
and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life,
and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

Wide and Broad

Convenience and Comfort

What are the main factors I consider when I make decisions?
Is it according to my convenience?
Is it for my comfort?

 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world,
and loses his own soul?
Mark 8:36

And I will say to my soul,
"Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years;
take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry."
' But God said to him, 'Fool!
This night your soul will be required of you;
then whose will those things be which you have provided?'
So is he who lays up treasure for himself,
and is not rich toward God."
Luke 12:19-21

Is it monetary? Least expensive, profitable, gain?
Is it according to time profit?

ENLIGHTENMENT!

ENLIGHTENMENT!

 Therefore I also,
after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus
and your love for all the saints,
do not cease to give thanks for you,
making mention of you in my prayers:
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give to you the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened
that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
and what is the exceeding greatness of His power
toward us who believe,
according to the working of His mighty power
which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all principality and power and might and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 1:15-21

Imagine you are trying to look at a person standing before you in a dark room. Then suddenly the light in the room is switched on!

Then He said to them,
"These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you,
that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses
and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."
And He opened their understanding
that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
Luke 24:44-45

Knowledge in the mind has to become an experience of the heart. It is GOD who gives this enlightenment to man. When this happens, the things that are seen two dimensional, suddenly become three dimensional! It is like looking at a person on the screen of a TV, computer or iphone and then the same person suddenly appears before you in person! The word becomes flesh.

 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints
what is the width and length and depth and height-
- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:17-19

This is also the way in which we progressively understand and experience the receiving and giving of GOD'S amazing love.

A kid in first grade might think she has much knowledge when she knows to count and write the letters A to Z. At second grade she would know that letters make words and there is more to numbers than simply counting. At third grade she would understand she can read stories and write and express her thoughts with words formed with those same letters and she can add and subtract those same numbers which will help her to equally share her lollies with her sister!

 Brethren, I write no new commandment to you,
but an old commandment
which you have had from the beginning.
The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.
Again, a new commandment I write to you,
which thing is true in Him and in you,
because the darkness is passing away,
and the true light is already shining
He who says he is in the light,
and hates his brother,
is in darkness until now.
He who loves his brother abides in the light,
and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
But he who hates his brother
is in darkness and walks in darkness,
and does not know where he is going,
because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
1 John 2:7-11

For now we see in a mirror, dimly,
but then face to face
Now I know in part,
but then I shall know just as I also am known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13

 Open my eyes,
that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.
Psalm 119:18

May we earnestly pray for ourselves and for others
that GOD would open our understanding
so that the Scriptures might become clear to us
and we may know the LORD JESUS better.

 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it,
do not cease to pray for you,
and to ask that you may be filled
with the knowledge of His will
in all wisdom and spiritual understanding
that you may walk worthy of the Lord,
fully pleasing Him,
being fruitful in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
strengthened with all might,
according to His glorious power,
for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
giving thanks to the Father
who has qualified us to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
Colossians 1:9-12

Character Moulding

Character Moulding

Moulding is necessary to fit into heaven

The first step towards heaven is the first step of salvation when one repents of his sin and receives the LORD JESUS into his life. At that very point, he is justified in the eyes of the Almighty GOD because of CHRIST'S work of salvation that was completed on the cross. During the rest of his lifetime on earth, he goes through a process of sanctification. He has to be moulded into the image of the LORD JESUS to be fit for heaven. That is when we will be glorified with Him!

If you have set your heart on heaven, you also need to set your heart on enduring the moulding process. If you desire to be in heaven, you have to be willing to change. If you are looking forward to glorification, you have to understand and yield to the process of sanctification.

Unless all of us are changed before we reach heaven, heaven will not be heaven!

Understanding this process is necessary for us to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, Who teaches us all things and helps us in every situation.

The Heavenly Father is the Potter

 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
Psalm 33:13-15

 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: "Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My words." Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
Jeremiah 18:1-4

The role of the Holy Spirit during moulding

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:1-5

It is important that the lump of clay is moist, soft and pliable while being moulded. It is the Holy Spirit who keeps us soft and instructs us in this process of moulding. Let us be sensitive to the gentle voice and promptings of the Holy Spirit and be yielded to Him. Then we will be changed quickly. Although it is a painful process, it becomes easier and quicker if we yield to the Holy Spirit and obey His promptings.

Suffering in the process of moulding

Imagine a lump of clay being moulded and shaped in the hands of a potter. If that lump of clay could feel and speak, it would cry out in pain!

In the natural, the process of moulding is not pleasant, but painful and the natural reaction is to resist it. But if we understand the purpose for this moulding of character, we will be able to rejoice when it happens.

James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:1-4

Many women bear much pain while going through beauty treatments. They yield themselves to willingly go through such physical discomfort and pain because they are looking forward to the outcome of becoming more beautiful physically! For them, the joy of looking more pretty is worth all the pain in the process of the treatment by the beautician! That is the example the LORD JESUS set for us to follow.

 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2

The painful process could be a difficult physical condition or sickness, emotional stress brought about by the death of a loved one or the sickness of a close relative, financial situation, issues at work and so on. Very often the moulding takes place through relationships. The weaknesses in the spouse is a good character moulding tool! It could also be a family member, a neighbour or a work mate who is difficult to get on with. Rather than hitting back at that individual, we should ask the LORD to teach us and mould us with patience and prayer. If we continue to do this diligently, we will be amazed at the outcome - in ourselves first, and then in due time, in the other person involved!!

When any opportunity is given to a group of little kids and they are asked, "Who wants to go first?" We often hear, "Me first" or "I want to go first." Very rarely do we hear one say, "Let him go first." Similarly, while handling difficult relationships, let our attitude be, 'Let me be the one to change first. Let me be moulded first!

The image of CHRIST

The LORD JESUS is the perfect mould we need to be moulded into.

 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18

And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

1 Corinthians 15:49

During this process of moulding of character, our thinking will change, our values will change and our heart will change.

When we look beyond whatever difficult situation we might face or difficult people we may encounter, and focus our eyes on the LORD JESUS, we will become more like Him. If we don't let JESUS between yourself and the other individual, you will be moulded into the shape of the other individual! Anger in the other will bring out the anger which is in us. Pride will bring out the pride in us. Hatred will manifest the hatred in us. But if you let JESUS between anyone else and yourself, even difficult relationships will turn out to be profitable as you will get pushed towards Him, pressed against Him and will become like Him! This we do by asking the LORD to teach us during difficult times, yielding to the Holy Spirit and pray and intercede for the other person and bear with him in love without hitting back. Your attitude of love and patience will eventually bring about the change in the other individual as well!

Planed to perfection!

 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:10-11

 as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.' " Luke 3:4-6

Just as John the Baptist prepared the way for the LORD'S first coming, let us be diligent to prepare for His second coming! JESUS, as a Carpenter, used a tool repeatedly over a piece of rough wood until it was perfectly planed and smooth. He Himself was perfect like a perfectly planed piece of wood! Yet He went through such suffering during His life on earth and then carried that rough wooden cross on His bruised and wounded shoulders. The skin on His back was unimaginably torn and shredded with the whipping, when He was laid on the coarse, rough beam of wood to be nailed to the cross. The cross was then raised up with Him nailed to it, and was dropped into the hole to make it stand upright. The LORD JESUS endured such excruciating pain for your sake and mine. Our wickedness is like that rough surface of that old rugged cross that hurt JESUS our LORD so much! Let us look to that cross, take up our cross and follow Him. Let every valley in us be filled and every mountain and hill brought low. Let the crooked places be made straight in our lives and rough ways made smooth. Then the glory of GOD will be seen in us and through us!

BUILDING OR SCAFFOLDING?

BUILDING OR SCAFFOLDING?

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners,

but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,

Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,

in whom the whole building, being joined together,

grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:19-22

Are you a part of the temple of GOD?

If you are one who is helping the Church with your time and skills, your facilities and finances, well and good. You must also make sure you are a part of the building and not just the scaffolding!

The scaffolding is built just for a season for a purpose in the process of the repair and restoration of the building. It is then brought down.

You may be saying in your heart, "I am helping these Christians with many things in many ways. Surely, GOD will remember me." You may be a part of the paid staff of a Church, permanent or temporary. You may be doing many things in and around the Church on a voluntary basis.

Working at the airport or on an aircraft doesn't give you the right to get on a flight!

You need to have a personal conviction that CHRIST is in you. You must be assured that you are in CHRIST. You must get connected to the Almighty GOD, your Creator, through the LORD JESUS.

It is essential for you to step into the Kingdom of GOD to be saved. You must personally believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, repent of your sin and accepting His forgiveness, you must receive JESUS into your life. Thus you become a part of the Body of CHRIST. Your name will be recorded in the Lamb's book of life. Then you will have CHRIST in you Who is the hope of glory! You will then be a member of the worldwide Church, the family of GOD. Your fellowship with the believers will be meaningful as you are a livingstone in the temple of the Almighty GOD!

Do not delay!
make your decision today!
Receive the LORD JESUS into your heart:
Enter the Kingdom of GOD.

 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints
what is the width and length and depth and height-
- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge;
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations,
forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-21

SELF ISOLATION & SOCIAL DISTANCING

SELF ISOLATION; SOCIAL DISTANCING

All of us have become familiar with 'Self Isolation' and 'Social Distancing' since COVID-19 started.

Catching the corona virus is not pleasant because it makes you sick and it can even cause death. Because information about coronavirus was copious on the news and on social media, people, out of fear, obeyed the social distancing rules. In some instances, those who had slight flu symptoms distanced themselves from their loved ones.

This was an unusual way of life for most people. Therefore people started reaching others on social media to keep communicating. families, friends, Churches, organisations researched and made use of the best ways to speak to each other and also see each other. Loved ones desired to express their love for each other through 'virtual hugs' from distances.

Although the separation helped reduce the spread of the virus and people were protected from physical infection, many individuals were affected emotionally. The elderly and the aged who are not on smart phones and those who are not computer savvy were left out of 'internet gatherings'.

This proves to us that man is made to live in love. Man thrives where there is love. Man was made for relationships. Without love, man exists but does not live the fullness of life.

 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:7-8

We love Him because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19

When we receive GOD'S love in our heart, we first give it back to GOD, expressing our love for Him. Then we look for opportunities to share that love with others. This love is the lifeline of a Christian and it has to flow. It is the river of life that flows into us and flows through us.

 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
1 John 4:12

This love is the richness of the fellowship of believers. There is a healthy receiving and giving of GOD'S pure love. This is how the Kingdom of GOD is built with living stones on the Chief Corner Stone of CHRIST JESUS our LORD.

 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Colossians 3:14

This love of GOD that is shared among the Christians is the light that shines in this dark world.

 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:35

 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:5-7

It is so also with sin. We may be ashamed of our sinful nature, weaknesses and addictions. Today you can know that there is a way out for you. Come to the cross of JESUS. He suffered and died for your sake to set you free from the power of your sin. He sets you free from shame, guilt and fear. His blood cleanses you and you can live in victory! You don't need to hide from others and isolate yourself anymore. You can come to the light and have sweet fellowship with Christians.

 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5

The Holy Spirit who is love, is the spiritual life of a believer. To live a healthy Christian life, we have to allow the Holy Spirit to take control and thrive in our lives.

Sin is like the coronavirus. If we do not overcome sin in our lives, we will be spiritually sick and could even succumb to eternal death!

 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:30-32

we will also spread these wrong attitudes that are not of love. Our attitudes, words and actions, like the cough and sneeze will manifest hatred, envy and strife. This will defile some, like catching the infection, causing them to react with similar behaviour. Others will distance themselves, isolating individuals who exhibit such behaviour. Still others, like the health workers, with protective gear on, go into the wards of infected patients, to see them treated and restored!

Blood plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients is hoped to introduce fresh antibodies to fight the virus in sufferers. It's a technique that's been used for more than a century, and generally has few side effects.

Having practised as a Medical Officer, this truth became clear to me, pointing to the spiritual situations.

Those of us sinners, who have experienced the amazing grace of GOD through the blood of the LORD JESUS, are like the recovered patients who have the solution! We need not fear the plague, but should stand in the gap and call on GOD and intercede on behalf of the nations. We must pray not only for physical healing, but for the spiritual healing of people through forgiveness of sins. The LORD JESUS alone has the power to heal and to save.

 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:9-14

The Almighty GOD!

The Almighty GOD!

O Lord, I have heard your speech and was afraid;
O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years!
In the midst of the years make it known;
In wrath remember mercy.
God came from Teman,
The Holy One from Mount Paran.
Selah His glory covered the heavens,
And the earth was full of His praise.
His brightness was like the light;
He had rays flashing from His hand,
And there His power was hidden.
Before Him went pestilence,
And fever followed at His feet.
He stood and measured the earth;
He looked and startled the nations.
And the everlasting mountains were scattered,
The perpetual hills bowed.
His ways are everlasting.

Habakkuk 3:1-6
