Mischief at the grand prestigious dinner!

The table was decorated beautifully and the crockery and cutlery set perfectly. All the workers seemed to be honest and hard working. Some mischief happened just before the distinguished guests arrived and sat at the table. The cutlery was swapped! Half of the guests had knife and knife and the other half had fork and fork!!

There was much confusion! Who could enjoy such a delicious meal displaying suitable etiquette!!

Wasn't the anger of the host kindled!

Wouldn't the next step be to quickly correct the wrong?

Won't a responsible person rise up to correct the wrong?

Imagine the mischief maker sending out his agents and preventing anyone correcting the wrong!

Even worse would it be if he gets his agents to deal harshly with those who are ready to correct the wrong!!

 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?' But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn." ' "
Matthew 13:24-30

 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.  But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.  The Big picture of the Destiny of the World

The wrath of the devil 

 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
Revelation 12:7-12

The anger of the devil is directed especially against the children and servants of GOD. He uses people to ensnare them and persecute them. The devil's evil plan is to cause us to stumble and fall and deceive us so that we might follow him to his eternal destination which is eternal destruction.

GOD is sovereign and is in overall control. He gives limited authority to the devil for certain periods of time to fulfil His purposes for this world. The devil is wicked and evil and he comes only to steal good things from us, to kill us and to make us follow him to eternal destruction in hell. That is all he can do because his eternal destiny is sealed!

GOD permits the devil to bring adversity to us to a certain extent, but knows how much we can take and gives us a way of escape.

 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

 Through every situation GOD works for the good of His people.

 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

 The wrath of man

 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20

We can't correct or change people with anger. We must act with love and patience.

We should not fear the wrath of man. 

By faith he (Moses) forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.
Hebrews 11:27

People may be able to kill our body. They cannot kill our soul and they have no authority to send us to hell! Only GOD has that authority over us.

 "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:27-31

GOD'S chastening

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:3-11

Whatever GOD does to us or permits in our lives is for our good. He has only a good plan for us and that plan is to cause us to be strengthened in our faith through every situation and to be molded into His image so we may attain eternal salvation.

 You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, For I believe Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.
Psalm 119:65-67

 But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

The wrath of GOD 

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he (John) said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Only the LORD JESUS, Who took on Himself GOD'S punishment for all sin of all mankind, is able to deliver us from the wrath of GOD.

 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

 O Lord, I have heard your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.
Habakkuk 3:2

 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

The Period of the Grace of GOD

This life on earth is minute and shorter than a fraction of a minute compared to eternity!

If you are thinking that when someone closes their eyes in death, that is the end, you are mistaken. 

The end of this life is the beginning of eternity.

This short life is just preparation for our eternal life which would be either life with GOD or destruction in hell. 

Our decision for our eternal destination has to be made before we die. We have to hastily make this decision because none of us know when we will die!

Therefore whatever we may go through here, let us take advantage of the situation to step into GOD'S Kingdom of Light and to seek GOD and to draw close to Him. The pain, sorrow, and persecution  - anything is worth the step towards GOD.

Don't let this valuable period of grace pass lest you suddenly find yourself standing before the judge of all the earth!

We need to remind ourselves and steer our lives frequently to be GOD centered and GOD conscious, selfless, others loving and  Kingdom purposed.

 Overcome Evil With Good

 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21 

We cannot reverse evil with more evil, rather, we must reverse evil with good!

So goes the saying, 'Prevention is better than cure'. "Prevention, in what way?", you may ask. We must first think of the simple, easiest and wise ways that also have no adverse effects. Our bodies have been designed profoundly by an all-wise Creator to overcome many adverse situations. We have an immune system to combat infections. The body systems work well with proper diet, exercise and rest. This is the most important and best personal prevention method.

Secondly, as we have been taught, we should continue to practice good personal hygiene like washing of hands and covering our sneezes and coughs.

Shouldn't there be more emphasis on such things than the more complex and expensive methods of prevention which do not guarantee neither full efficacy nor full safety. If necessary, vaccinations should be considered for those whose immune systems are not strong enough because of their age or physical illnesses, of course, keeping in mind that such people will also be more susceptible to any adverse effects of the vaccines as well!

This situation is also reflected in the spiritual realm. Just as the virus works against the healthy, normal functioning of the body for which it is designed by its Maker, there are demonic thoughts and imaginations that are targeted towards influencing the mind and soul against the purpose for which it was created.

The devil uses individuals who don't acknowledge the Sovereign LORD, to fulfil his purposes. He influences people and uses them to influence others against the truth.

The first step in overcoming such deception is for each one of us to be firmly established in the truth. This will keep us from the effects of the corona virus of the lies of the devil and keep us from being deceived. Towards this, we must make sure we have a healthy diet of the word of GOD, the Holy Spirit infilling through prayer, obedience to the word and Spirit as our spiritual exercise and make sure we don't fall short of entering His rest. This rest to our soul comes through absolute surrender of our mind and all that means life to us, to GOD in worship.  

 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
Hebrews 4:1

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Hebrews 4:9-10

Secondly, we must love others in word and action.

 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 15:12

We should not sneeze and cough anger, bitterness and envy on them but intercede for them and cover their sin with the blood of JESUS and let His love flow to them through us. Our words should be edifying as we speak the truth in love.

Hitting back at anti-Christian rules, laws and mindsets that arise with the rebellion and fury of the enemy, with similar anger and loveless truth will not be very effective in setting people free of such deceptions. It will also bring about the adverse effects of greater resistance to the truth of GOD'S love. Rather, let us make known the truth with love and spread the influence of CHRIST gently as a fragrance. This will open the eyes of those who are deceived, so that they might know the truth that will set them free.  This has a 0 percent failure rate. 

 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, 

and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

The corona virus of the soul is so much more dangerous than the physical corona virus, because it causes mental illness and if not healed, will lead to eternal death of the soul in hell!

The three major concerns these days are, covid 19, ungodly thinking and mindsets of rebellion against the Sovereign Creator GOD (which is the spiritual corona virus) and the bushfires in Australia that remind us of the horror of eternal hell fire.

It is an urgent call for those of us who know the truth, to arise as rescue workers to intercede, lovingly make the truth known and bring in the harvest before the great day of reckoning, the day of the LORD!

 High Things and Things Above

During these turbulent times, what does GOD expect of us as His followers?

1) We need to firstly prepare ourselves for the more difficult times ahead.

I must strengthen myself in the faith by diligent study and memorization of the Scriptures.

I must acquaint myself with the Holy Spirit and learn to live in submission and obedience to Him.

2) We should constantly purposefully humble ourselves by resetting our mind.

It is easy to get caught up with the 'High Things' of this world, politics, controversies about vaccines and so on. It is a snare of the devil to cause Christians to waste time discussing these issues, get worked up, cause unpleasantness and bring rifts between individuals.

Let us read just enough facts about the current news and not go on to fill our mind with copious opinions of people from the media. Let us then seek the LORD so that His opinion might be made known to us.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Romans 12:16

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4

Birds inside can fly as high as the netting of the walk-in aviary. If a bird humbles itself to come down and gets out of the door that is set low, it is free and will fly above the aviary!

Therefore I also, 

after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus 

and your love for all the saints,

 do not cease to give thanks for you, 

making mention of you in my prayers: 

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,

 may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; 

that you may know what is the hope of His calling, 

what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, 

according to the working of His mighty power

 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead 

and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 

far above all principality and power and might and dominion, 

and every name that is named, 

not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Ephesians 1:15-21

3) Intercede according to GOD'S heart which will effect changes in situations, and people. 

 The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads," says the Lord God.
Ezekiel 22:29-31 

4) We must be willing to let go of things and activities in our life by re-ordering our values and priorities. We must discipline ourselves to set aside more time for personal and corporate prayer.

We should also give time to encourage, support and help those whose faith is being tested through trials such as sickness, persecution and poverty.

 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
1 Peter 4:7

Spoil

 But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, 

articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; 

and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. 

So you shall plunder the Egyptians."

When the children of Israel came out of Egypt, they did not come empty handed.

Not only were they free from the slavery of Egypt but they were loaded with the spoil of Egypt!

When we are set free from our sin and are born into the Kingdom of GOD, we must give all that we have and all that we are, for GOD.

Our ministry should be not only to see individuals set free but also to see them totally given to the service of the LORD!

And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. 

So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; 

and the multitudes marveled. 

But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons." 

Others, testing Him, sought from Him a sign from heaven. 

But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: 

"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, 

and a house divided against a house falls. 

If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? 

Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub. 

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? 

Therefore they will be your judges. 

But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, 

surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. 

But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, 

he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. 

He who is not with Me is against Me, 

and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 
Luke 11:14-23 

 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, 

And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, 

Because He poured out His soul unto death, 

And He was numbered with the transgressors, 

And He bore the sin of many, 

And made intercession for the transgressors.

At Calvary, on the cross, the LORD JESUS paid the price for the redemption of souls. Now we can be His spoil and His plunder! We should give ourselves to Him with joy, so He could use us to plunder the devil and make people His spoil - His servants who would live for the LORD with joy!

Having disarmed principalities and powers, 

He made a public spectacle of them, 

triumphing over them in it. 
Colossians 2:15 

 

 When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, 

they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, 

and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, 

more than they could carry away; 

and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much.

And on the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berachah, 

for there they blessed the Lord; 

therefore the name of that place was called The Valley of Berachah until this day. 
2 Chronicles 20:25-26 

 Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, 

He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."

(Now this, "He ascended"--what does it mean but that He also first descended 

into the lower parts of the earth? 

He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, 

that He might fill all things.) 

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, 

and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, 

for the edifying of the body of Christ, 

till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, 

to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Plunder or spoil in the spiritual realm is the souls of people.

The objects of GOD'S love are people. The target of the devil are souls of people.

Thus the spiritual warfare is for people. In this, the kingdom of darkness wars against the Kingdom of Light. The devil and his demons oppose and work against everything GOD has purposed for people He created. 

Souls are being plundered by the enemy through the deception of the mind. They are led into confusion about their own gender because they do not acknowledge their Creator. 

There is rebellion against GOD. They are captivated by the lusts of this world that lure them into the hands of the devil. They become slaves of Babylon.

The devil pumps people with arrogance and pride, so that they are not in a position to receive GOD'S love and grace.

The advancement of human knowledge seems to surpass the wisdom of the Almighty GOD, causing people to place their trust entirely on the systems of the world. Knowledge is increasing while the revelation of the love of GOD is decreasing!

People have no time for GOD or for each other. People do not think it is important to take time to have their hearts filled with the love of GOD by waiting on Him. There is no time for people to share GOD'S love with each other.

Souls are decaying as they are left with hurts, bitterness and anger, like wounds that are not cleaned and dressed. Like infections, the work of demons thrive in such souls, causing mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses.

The whole world is under the sway of the evil one and the kingdom of darkness seems to prevail. But take heart, the light of GOD is shining through! As light disperses darkness, the Truth is being made known and the lies of the evil one are being exposed!! The Truth of the word of GOD is being proclaimed far and wide as never before! Souls are being set free as the Truth is made known to them. They are being set free from the clutches of the devil who has long kept them captive through his lies!

When people are set free from the oppression and deception of the devil, they should be taken as spoil for the LORD and for His Kingdom. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, all their time, personalities, skills and talents should be exploited for Kingdom use and Kingdom building. Thus the enemy will not be able to take them back. They will have great fulfilment and joy living for the LORD and serving Him. Saul was being used by the devil to persecute the early Christians. GOD apprehended him and took him over for Himself. He became a profitable servant and a slave for the LORD. 

 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 
Isaiah 60:1-3 

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, The excellency of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
