WELL-SET HAIR!

Men and especially women tend to place much importance in their appearance in the presence of others. Don't we carefully choose suitable apparel each day and for every occasion? We also give much thought to the styling and setting of our hair!

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.
1 Peter 3:3-4

Likewise, I want the women to adorn themselves with respectable apparel, with modesty, and with self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess to worship God.

Man sees the outward appearance but GOD looks at the attitude of the heart and the motives of the mind.

The Scriptures speak about setting our minds on things that are most importand because that would indicate the motive and the direction of our life on earth. If the setting of the hair is important to us, how much more the setting of the mind that is hidden under the hair? That is what guides our thoughts and steers our path of life.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:1-4

And so it shall be: Instead of a sweet smell there will be a stench; Instead of a sash, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, baldness; Instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.
Isaiah 3:24

If we continue to seek the things of this world and pursue materialism, the LORD will permit situations in our lives and even in our bodies that will cause us to turn to Him.

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:6-9

"The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:9-10

Let us therefore be diligent to study the Scriptures so that our mindset can align to the truth. Let us also walk in that truth by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

We must obey GOD's law and the leading of the Holy Spirit, even if it is different or contrary to the laws and ways of the nation and the world.

"Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults.
Isaiah 51:7

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4
